The Box Turtle Partnership of Texas is comprised
of Texas citizens and groups who are willing to
contribute time and effort toward saving Texas' box turtles.
The
Box Turtle Partnership of Texas began with the Dallas-Fort
Worth Herpetological Society and has
grown to include numerous herpetological societies, nature centers, and
individuals concerned with the plight of Texas' wild box turtles and
their natural habitat. The Box Turtle Partnership of Texas exists to
advocate the preservation of
the box turtle populations in their native habitats through education,
research, and protection from over harvesting.
