The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department has posted a notice of public comment related to proposed changes in Commercial Nongame Regulations. In general the changes relate to captive breeding of nongame wildlife from legally obtained brood stock, extension of reporting for the "grandfather" provision for collections exceeding the possesion limit on the prohibited list from November 1, 2008 to Novemebr 1, 2010, and permit requirements for import and export of nongame wildlife for any reason not just those related to sale or resale. The opportunity for online public comment started on 14 July and extends to 5:ooPM on August 20, 2008. Further details and the opportunity to comment can be found on the TPWD web site.
